Who's laughing now?

Remember when John Oliver played Mandel Hall in 2009? Soooo funny, right?

Okay now think back to the opening act, whose name was (still is) Rory Albanese. He's an executive producer for the Daily Show and, you know, he was pretty funny. I remember this one part about him eating a burger at a London McDonalds early in the morning and getting kind of bellig— oh wait, there's a video clip. "'Ello, I'm a Britsh person! 'Ello, 'ello, 'ello, 'ello!" Funny!

Comedian and Daily Show Co-Executive Producer Rory Albanese

performed at Mandel Hall in February 2009.

Anyway it was reported today that Albanese was arrested back in September for punching out a 9/11 Truther at a reading, featuring Jon Stewart, of the Daily Show's new book Earth, The Book, which is sort of about how global warming is killing everyone (I opened the book once, really). But arrested? Woah!

"According to the [New York Police Department] press office, Rory Albanese was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Albanese was arrested at his Park Avenue residence on September 28 2010.

"The smackdown took place the previous day at the Barnes & Noble on East 17th street in Manhattan, during a promotion for the new Daily Show book."

And I'm like, jeez, with hotheads like these who needs global warming!

You've been a great audience! Try the samosas, I'll be here 'till Thursday.

(Seriously though, I really liked the John Oliver/Rory Albanese show.)
