Two students robbed at gunpoint

The U of C students had their purses stolen at 1:00 p.m. Friday, but escaped injury.

Two female U of C students were robbed at gunpoint today at 1:00 p.m. on Woodlawn Avenue between 54th and 55th Street, the UCPD said. The two students turned into an alley and were confronted by two men who pulled out guns after exiting a parked car. Though they had their purses stolen, the victims were not injured. Police have not been able to identify the assailants yet, but are investigating.
