UChicago faculty, staff, and students are now eligible to borrow from the libraries of the eight Ivy League universities, MIT, and the Center for Research Libraries through Borrow Direct, a sharing system that includes over 50 million circulating volumes. Books requested through Borrow Direct will be available within four to five calendar days.
In addition to its new partnership with Borrow Direct, the University of Chicago participates in a regional borrowing partnership which allows users to request books from 13 major research libraries in the Midwest.
