11:30 a.m.–11:30 p.m. The Logan Five Year Bash celebrates a vibrant arts scene on campus with a 12-hour-long festival featuring free musical performances, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, and food. To see more events, check out logan5year.org.   

Admire visuals of Chicago’s jazz and blues scene at the Jazz & Blues Photo Exhibition: A Photographer’s View, a showcase in conjunction with Hyde Park Jazz Festival and the Logan Center Bluesfest. Café Logan

1 p.m. Get ready to groove with an outdoor concert by the genre-bending Funkadesi band, which blends Indian music, reggae, funk, and Afro-Caribbean tunes for an eclectic sound. Outdoor Concert Courtyard.  

2–3 p.m. An exhibition centering around revolution in everyday life, Divine Violence explores artists’ reflections on violence and anarchy as methods of undermining power structures. Divine Violence curator Yesomi Umolu will speak with Brazilian curator Thiago de Paula Souza. Performance Penthouse

2:15–5:15 p.m. Sample the best of UChicago’s arts RSOs with a veritable buffet of performances from improv comedy group Off-Off Campus, and a capella groups Unaccompanied Women and Rhythm and JewsPerformance Festival Courtyard.  

2:30–3:30 p.m. Age is but a number for the next generation of spoken word poets and writers from across the state, who will perform in the Youth Spoken Word ShowcaseCafé Logan. 

5–7:20 p.m. Enjoy some freshly grilled food and performances by UChicago’s Dirt Red Brass Band and avery r. young & de deacon board for the Bash BBQLogan Center Courtyard

6:15–7 p.m. Check out five years of student filmmaking with a screening of productions from Fire Escape FilmsScreening Room. 

10:30 p.m.–12 a.m. Dance the night away with the final Logan Five Year Bash event: the Bash Dance Party. With beats from DJ Terry James, you’re sure to be bopping nonstop. Performance Penthouse.
