3,000 E-mail Users Experience Problems

[Updated] Those with CNetID’s starting with the letters “A” through “Da” were most effected.

Update: IT Services believes that the problem was resolved by noon.

Approximately 3,000 University of Chicago e-mail users experienced issues sending and receiving e-mails Thursday morning, according to IT Services.

Those with CNetIDs starting with the letters “A” through “Da” are primarily experiencing the issue. E-mails “sent to and among affected users” may not be delivered. IT Services did not make it clear if other users with CNetIDs starting with the rest of the alphabet may not be getting their e-mails delivered.

Users began experiencing such problems at 9:30 a.m. IT Services engineers are working to resolve the issue and will follow up with updates, which can be followed online here.
