Nikki Haley to Speak On Campus

Haley, now ambassador to the United Nations, previously spoke at the IOP in 2014.

Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, will speak at International House on February 22. Her talk is part of the Speaker Series at the Institute of Politics (IOP) and will be moderated by IOP Director David Axelrod.

Before serving as the ambassador to the U.N., Haley was governor of South Carolina. She previously visited the IOP as a speaker in February 2014. She participated in a conversation with Republican strategist Beth Myers, who was an IOP fellow at the time of Haley’s visit. In a brief interview given during her visit, Haley had stated that while the 2016 election was too far off to speculate about, she anticipated that the Republican party would produce new candidates that would “surprise both the Republican and Democratic party.”
