Students advocate gun reform at Chicago’s March for Our Lives

The rally began at 11 a.m., followed by a march throughout West Town.

Thousands gathered at Union Park on Saturday to participate in the nationwide protest against gun violence following last month’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

UChicago students and founding members of Gather Activism Alex Swerdlow, Marley Rosario, and Kate Quinn helped coordinate outreach for the event. They teamed up with students from various organizations across Chicago to lead the march.
