Saucy Porka Opens on 55th Street at Bergstein’s Location

A Latin and Asian fusion fast casual restaurant is now open in Hyde Park.

Saucy Porka, a Latin and Asian fusion fast casual restaurant, opened in Hyde Park on Monday, July 30.

It is located on 55th Street near Woodlawn Avenue in a University-owned building at the location of Bergstein's Deli, which closed in December.

Pork is the primary meat on the menu. The restaurant is serving tacos on steamed buns, paella, and bánh mì, with entrées priced around $8 to $11. 

Its hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The other Saucy Porka location is in the downtown financial distrct at Van Buren Street and Financial Place.
