Who We Are

Founded in 1892, The Chicago Maroon is the independent student newspaper of the University of Chicago. The organization's flagship publication is the twice-weekly broadsheet distributed during Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters of the academic year. Additionally, The Chicago Maroon publishes a quarterly news magazine, Grey City, and maintains throughout the calendar year.

Fall 2016 Recruitment
